As you may know I just love boots and in this post I’m going to show you five ways to style ankle boots. I have a great selection of styles and colours in a range of materials. In this post I thought I show you some of them and how I’ve styled them.

1. The First of the Five Ways to Style Ankle Boots – The White Ankle Boot

The first of my five ways to style ankle boots is this gorgeous white pair from Topshop. The pointed toe and ankle hugging design add a touch of elegance to any outfit.

I love to style them in winter with other winter whites and neutrals for a classic, timeless look. When paired with these tones, even jumpers can create an elegant look when wearing them.

I also love to style them with a dress as the temperatures drop, for example with this animal print dress, to give it an elegant but cosy look.

I like to team the boots with a winter white coat to complete the look. This beautiful coat from Essential Antwerp teams perfectly with the white ankle boots to create a timeless, chic look.

The boots also look amazing worn with a classic white pleated skirt like this one from Stradivarius. Most importantly it is the pointed toe, ankle hugging fit and unusual heel which creates the elegance in this look.

2. The Suede Boot

The next style of ankle boot I love to wear is this black suede ankle boot from Clarks. They are so versatile for a daytime look, but being suede could also be worn in the evening too.

When teamed with the same coloured top, the black boots and top create a coordinated outfit.

This can either be with a statement skirt like the one above from H and M, or this cute tunic dress from Javelin. However in both cases in the colder months I would coordinate the outfit further by wearing thick black tights.

Finally these black suede ankle boots are also great when worn with jeans for a more casual look. By keeping the jeans the same colour as your boots, you can elongate your legs, which can’t be a bad thing.

3. The Lace Up Boot

My favourite ankle boot trend at the moment is the lace up boot. These can be like a Doc Marten style (which I love) or a hiking boot.

Worn with a floral skirt or dress the hardness of the boots are softened by the florals in the skirt to create a current, edgy look.

Furthermore, these boots look equally great with jeans for a casual daytime look.

I also love to wear them with a casual cord skirt and blouse or jumper which creates a comfortable daytime look and have replaced trainers for the colder weather.

4. The Animal Print Boot

In my last post I talked about animal print and how it is becoming a timeless classic and this season animal print boots have become increasingly popular. These ones from H and M look great with the wider leg, cord trouser trend, which I’m also loving . When worn with a shorter leg, the boots with a higher heel stand out for a casual but still stylish look.

5. The Last of the Five Ways to style Ankle Boots -The Chelsea Boot

My last ankle boot I’ve worn on repeat this season is the classic Chelsea boot. To be honest I wore some very similar when I did horse riding several years back, but they also work very well with mini skirts or suits. I’ve also seen them worn with floaty dresses and love this look especially if you are tall.

So I hope this has given you some inspiration as to how you can wear a range of ankle boots and if you enjoyed this post, please do give it a like or feel free to share it. If you have any ideas of other ankle boots you love or would like to say what you enjoyed about this post, please leave a comment below. It would mean so much to me.

Until next time,
